Here’s What I Want You To Know About Me…
| Transgender Day of Visibility 2020
Ahead of International Transgender Day of Visibility on the 31st March, I drew transgender, non binary and intersex people and shared these illustrations alongside quotes responding to the statement “Here’s what I want you to know about me” throughout March 2020.
So often, as trans people, we are asked to discuss our identities and experiences related to being trans. While this is important and has its place, for Transgender Day of Visibility I wanted to share and promote trans people, giving them the power to share what they want about themselves. This included trans identities and experiences for some and not for others. The aim was to make us visible as human beings and not only as trans.
